Laser Polarimetry, Refractive Index and UV Absorbance Here we present a comparison of separations of a mixture of malto-oligosaccharides with DP 4-10. In figure below we can see that the response of the polarimetric detector offers an excellent response for this oligosaccharide series. However, with the refractive index detector and the UV detector the only measurable response is for the solvent front.
